In a recent Bloomberg article by John Gittelsohn, Prashant Gopal and Noah Rayman, “The gun is cocked with insane affordability,” Stan Humphries, chief economist at property-data provider Zillow Inc. (Z), said by telephone from Seattle. “The conundrum is why more people aren’t coming off the fence. There are two things keeping them on the sides: continued economic uncertainty, and the fear of falling home prices. And I think data says both of those have started to be reduced.”
