The real estate market in Grand Rapids, Michigan is going strong.  Sales of homes and condominiums continue to be selling fairly rapidly.  In such a hot market, the price of these homes and condominiums are increasing.

Is there any way to get a prime piece of real estate and be eligible for significant tax exemptions over the next few years, therefore helping to make a new condo purchase much less?

The answer is yes.

The answer is Union Square Condominiums by Jon Rooks and Brad Gruizinga.

In purchasing a condo in Union Square, you will not only be living in an award winning development, but also at a reduced tax rate.  Rooks’ and Gruizinga’s commitment to seeking the best value for their clientele shows in deals such as this reduced property tax.  Union Square sits in the Neighborhood Enterprise Zone, therefore qualifying its residents a significant tax exemption on their property taxes until 2019.

A common outcome in the fitness world, even Grand Rapids, after a strenuous workout is muscle soreness.  There are many theories as to how this soreness comes about.  But the prevailing question being asked is, ” how do I get relief?”

Michael Byle, from Monroe North Fitness stated, “…a better approach to dealing with muscle soreness is to recover well. This means getting adequate rest, sleep, nutrients, and water. Avoid strenuous use of sore muscles, instead use an active recovery approach with low-impact, low intensity activities to increase blood flow and oxygenation. ”

Jolie Mosser, fitness trainer at Monroe North added, ” we feel proper nutrition can assist in muscle recovery by providing the building blocks for muscle repair. Try consuming foods with quality proteins and omega-3 fats, like salmon and flax seed. Fruits with antioxidants and vitamins C and E, like blueberries, tart cherries and pomegranates. Also eat inflammation fighting foods like ginger.”

There are a couple helpful hints to remember as we continue to exercise and live healthy in Grand Rapids.

Brad Gruizinga from Parkland Development described the company and its owner, Jon Rooks goal as, “we are keeping as much of the natural landscape as possible.  We recently finished clearing trees.  Besides the necessary trees to remove for the building envelopes and roads, all the rest were keep to continue the natural feel that Jon is envisions.”

The proposed development, Terrace Point Landing, is a 70-lot “new urbanism” style cluster of single-family homes on the point of land next to the Shoreline Inn and Conference Center.  “40% of the homes will be on the waterfront and the remaining homes having access,” according to Jon Rooks.
