Union Square Condominiums, located in downtown Grand Rapids, gives you not only one of the finest condo developments to call home, but also a close and quick access to the finest breweries.  Living at Union Square gives you loads of great features and boasts amenities such as a roof top pool, hot tub, sun deck, clubhouse and fitness center.

One of the best features of living downtown in “Beer City USA”, the close proximity of many wonderful local breweries to spend and build connections with friends or family or business opportunities.

You can spend time watching the Tigers as you grab a beer and pizza at The Mitten and be home in less than 5 minutes.   You can catch a local band while grabbing  a pale ale at Founders all within walking distance.

Union Square is more than a place to live, it is a place for living.

With recent approval from the Muskegon City Commission, Parkland Properties will move ahead with plans for a $14 Million development in downtown Muskegon.

Terrace Point Landing, as it will be called, will be on the shores of Muskegon Lake.

“We will have small homes in a highly-amenitized project at an affordable price that will be of the highest quality,” says Jon Rooks of Parkland Development. “There will be two, three, and four-bedroom homes with two-and-a-half or three baths, with great views of Muskegon Lake.”

The site condominium development will consist of 70 homes, of which 28 homes will be built directly along the lake. Terrace Point Landing does include a private beach and pool.

In addition, Rooks’ company will be investing in a waterfront development on Muskegon Lake and the redevelopment of the former Comerica building into apartments.

“My hope is that this will spur additional development in downtown Muskegon”, Jon Rooks recently stated.  This catalyst is a redevelopment in the heart of downtown Muskegon that will bring much needed jobs to the area.  Rooks and his Parkland Properties, LLC will begin construction on the converting the former Comerica bank building into 48 market ready apartments.

Rooks will invest 10.75 million into the conversion, which is planned to be completed in 18 to 24 months. And this is a hopeful catalyst for future development in downtown Muskegon and also surrounding areas.

The landscape of West Michigan continues to grow and develop.  With this growth and development come new job opportunities for Muskegon and surrounding Lakeshore.

It is these jobs that have the city of Muskegon excited about the prospect of a new development, Terrace Point Landing.  It will help to bring balance and stability to the city.  Mayor Steve Gawron called the plans a game changer for the city’s downtown and Muskegon Lake waterfront.

Parkland Development Corp. is proposing a 70-lot “new urbanism” style cluster of single-family homes on the point of land next to the Shoreline Inn and Conference Center.  Close to 40% of the homes will be on the waterfront and the remaining homes having access.

Jon Rooks of Parkland Properties stated that, “the lots will be designed for multi-level homes.”
