The rave reviews for the Shoreline Inn and Conference Center continue to roll in.  Though some might not have gotten the notification, as stated in the article on, this does not mean that the Shoreline is undeserving.

Jon Rooks and his general manager, Doug Pollock, aren’t sitting around whining about being overlooked, they are doing something about it.

As stated in the MLive article they are having some fun with it.

Now is your chance to see what could be the

best view in Muskegon.

We sure think so!!

To reserve a magnificent view contact the Shoreline Inn at

Jon Rooks, Parkland Properties, says, “the rental and leasing market are beyond strong.  We have raised rental rates at unsold condos twice in the past couple of years and always have a waiting list.  Rooks goes on, “We are able to use the demand to nudge buyers off the fence, because if a buyer has a house to sell, we will rent out their newly purchased condominium for them until the house sells.”

Bradley Gruizinga, says, “What we tell them is: We can make the payment for you, and we will also pay your dues and your taxes with the money received from leasing the condo.”  This allows them to get the best price for their house they are selling, without feeling that they have to be pressured into anything.  “Buy it now and keep it rented until you sell your house”

Jon says, “Anyone that can qualify for a loan today would be crazy not to purchase”  “It’s now again the way that it should be: where it’s cheaper to own than it is to rent.”

Jon Rooks promises that you will not miss mowing your lawn, or shoveling your driveway, or painting your windows.  So if one of these was the reason you have not looked at purchasing a condo downtown, then it is time to move on.  Or should we say “move in” to one of the few remaining condos that Parkland Properties has to offer.  Check out any of the beautiful layouts at Boardwalk Condominium or Union Square Condominium in downtown Grand Rapids.

Oh, and don’t forget to hold a garage sale before your move.  And go ahead and include the mower, shovel, and those paintbrushes….you won’t be needing those anymore.

Contact Bradley Veneklase @ 616-988-6466 to set up a time, minus the weed whacker of course.

Developers, Jon Rooks and Brad Gruizinga, have created some beautiful condominiums for downtown living in Grand Rapids.  Even the mayor of Grand Rapids, took notice, “…the Boardwalk has brought in 350 new downtown owners….if they were to spend $5000 per year downtown…this spending also helps to grow a stable platform for local businesses and shops to thrive.”

Jon Rooks says, sales for his Boardwalk Condos are heating up, just like the weather outside is getting warmer.  As the flowers begin to burst forth from the ground and life starts to spring up all around, if you are looking for a place to call home, then look no further than Boardwalk Condominiums.  Nestled along the Grand River and minutes from downtown “Cool City” Grand Rapids, the Boardwalk is a Rooks masterpiece.  Take a gentle stroll along the river.  Ride or walk to downtown to Celebration on the Grand or any of the many festivals held in the downtown area.  Or, spend a night out on the town, going from the Hop Cat to McFadden’s to the BOB, all a short distance of your new home.

Developer Jon Rooks is still seeking a 4-way win with his Parkland Properties.  What do we mean by 4-way win?  Jon puts it this way, “First, the buyer who moves in will build powerful tax deductions.  Second, the city continues to spur development and picks up long-term significant increases in both income tax revenue and property tax revenue along with the state.  Third, local shops, restaurants, and retailers pick up the spin-off spending and economic impacts (imagine each of his condo owners spending $5000 per year). And fourth, the neighborhoods win, as enhancements to these neighborhoods continue through preservation, improvement, and more beautification of buildings.

From Rooks perspective it is all entities; residents, neighborhoods, city, and state coming together to achieve common goals.
